Festive Ceramic Workshop
Saturday 5th of December
10.30am - 1.30pm
Festive Ceramic Handbuilding Workshop
Join Eilidh from Crèadh Ceramics for a relaxed festive handbuilding workshop, creating your own unique ceramic Christmas decorations and ornaments.
You’ll be introduced to three fundamental handbuilding techniques – slab building, coiling and pinching – before using these skills to bring your own festive ideas to life. From hanging tree decorations and stars to little Christmas houses and ornaments, you’ll have the freedom to create something personal to you. Add your own decorative details and colours using underglazes.
Perfect for adding a handmade touch to your Christmas decorations or creating a thoughtful gift for a loved one.
No previous ceramics experience is needed, and you’ll be guided through the process from start to finish. Suitable for families.
Your finished pieces will then be taken away to be fired and clear glazed, ready to collect from the Japanese Gardens before Christmas.
Please note: Due to the nature of ceramics, all pieces must be taken away from the workshop for drying, glazing and firing. If you would like to receive your finished pieces, please make sure you are able to collect your work from the Japanese Gardens once notified that it’s ready.
